NEW TESTAMENT SURVEY (1 credit) - Thelma English
Thursdays 8:30-10:40
Grades: 8-12 (grade 7 with permission: strong readers)
Description: Literature and Bible teacher Thelma English is now local! I have been teaching home educated teens for 23 years in Beaverton, Oregon City, and Woodburn. I am now enrolling students in my Salem class, meeting Thursday mornings 8:30-10:40 at Remnant church, 3420 48th Ave. NE, Hayesville [Salem], beginning Sept. 17th. See lecture and PowerPoint samples. In Salem this fall I am offering New Testament Survey; use this as a "First Century History," "Bible," or "English" credit. The class is challenging for a junior high student, easier and fascinating for a high school student.

My Master's studies in Exegetical Theology at Western Seminary in Portland, plus my enthusiasm for the integrity of the Bible, make me well-suited to help increase the faith of your teen (grades 7-12). New Testament Survey is a rich blend of reading 8 chapters of the NT per week and completing small, weekly assignments.

Students bring a Bible to class: NAS, NIV, KJV, NKJV, ESV.

Please contact Thelma English for more information or Registration forms. A copy of our 4-page Schedule is posted here for your perusal. See Registration form for tuition and syllabus fee (200-page syllabus plus weekly handouts), divided by payments (quarterly or monthly).
